San Gimignano

San Gimignano, enchanting small town and perfect tourist destination for all art
lovers from all over the world, stands on a hill that overlooks the entire Val d’Elsa,
immersed in the lush Tuscanian hills. From whatever perspective, the city stands out
the hill, with its many towers. Once there were seventy-two towers, but today only
thirteen have survived, preserving, or perhaps, intensifying the character of this very
elegant city. Today, its buildings built in different styles and its towers suggest and are
the evidence of the wealth of San Gimignano during Medieval times, mostly due to
trade, helped by the Via Francigena that crossed the town. It is world renowned not
only for its peculiar architectural structure but also for the wealth of artistic works
that it keeps soberly and for the Vernaccia of San Gimignano, a fine white wine that
is only produced in the San Gimignano area. San Gimignano is a real artistic jewel
that preserves unchanged the old times charm.

Direction to Marcialla

Here begins the Firenze to Siena. You have to go out ( after 16 Km ) in Tavernelle Val di Pesa.

You go left and you go for 3 km.

You will find an french round, go right the other 3 frech round, you go straight on, and at the fifth you go right to direction

to Marcialla ( 3 bkm ). When uou reach Marcialla ever right , direction Certaldo. 2 Km after, near the Camping, you will find

Podere Montagione.
